At the Community Building Office, about 200 people work to make Sigtuna Municipality an attractive, vibrant, and safe place to live and work. We plan new residential and business areas. We design and build roads and pipelines for water and sewage. We take care of parks and forests as well as schoolyards, preschool yards, and playgrounds. We work with traffic issues, parking supervision, waste management, and much more. We handle regulatory activities and exercise supervision and control, as well as issue permits within our areas. We invest in our employees through good resources for competence development and joint activities. Sigtuna Municipality is an expanding municipality with extensive housing construction, many business establishments, and investments in public spaces.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for someone who wants to work with operations and maintenance in park management during the summer months, whether for a short or long period.

The tasks vary; they may include weeding, mowing grass, cleaning, operating machinery, or performing other types of maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience in park management. It is an advantage if you have experience operating larger riding lawn mowers in professional green space maintenance. Since the work is conducted outdoors, you must enjoy being outside in both sun and rain. Solo work may also occur. A valid driver's license (category B) is required for the position. Other types of certificates/vehicle licenses for e.g., tractors, wheel loaders, etc. are advantageous. Working hours are 06:30-16:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:30-13:00 on Fridays.

As a person, you are good at working with others. You are flexible and attentive, communicating in a constructive manner. You enjoy making contacts and maintaining relationships. Additionally, you are used to planning your work well, completing what you have started, and meeting deadlines. You have a good ability to find solutions in daily work.

We want you to be able to work full-time for up to 7 months, during the period from April 1 to October 31. The possibility of vacation leave during the employment period is limited.
